1. BEST FINTECH APP/WEBSITE
The Judges are looking for a FinTech with an outstanding App or website, that has very high user ratings (on the App Store, Google ratings etc), that offers users a clear, concise, easy to use functionality with high daily/weekly usage, use of Ai to help customers find services and apply for new products, use pf personalisation, customer engagement (eg notifications), gamification and education on finance. NPS and retention data may also be used in your application.

2. BEST INNOVATION IN LENDING
This award recognises a consumer or business lending fintech which offers a new or significantly improved service that implements technology to bring benefits to either lenders and/or borrowers, or lending marketplaces. Judges are looking for an innovative use of credit modelling, data elements and/or an improved user experience, or volume growth.

3. BEST HOME LOAN INNOVATION
This award recognises a home loan (mortgage) lending fintech which offers a new or significantly improved service that implements technology to bring benefits to either lenders and/or borrowers, or lending marketplaces. Judges are looking for an innovative use of credit modelling, data elements and/or an improved user experience, or volume growth.

4. BEST FINTECH-BANK COLLABORATION
The Judges are looking for partnerships, specific projects, or products, that showcase how a bank (listed banks, ADIs, Customer Owned Banks) and a fintech firm have worked, or are working together. The Bank partner for the submission can be Australian or an overseas based Bank, however the FinTech must be an Australian based fintech.

5. BEST FINTECH & NON-BANK COLLABORATION
The Judges are looking for partnerships, specific projects, or products, that showcase how a non-bank (for example, Credit Unions, Building Societies, Non-Bank Lenders etc) and a fintech firm are working together. The Non-Bank partner for the submission can be Australian or an overseas based Non-Bank, however the FinTech must be an Australian based fintech.

6. BEST USE OF Ai IN FINTECH
The Judges are looking for the best use of Artificial Intelligence (Ai) in a fintech service; Ai can help fintech firms offer machine-learning human-like services at scale, and can include accurate and faster decision making, intelligent customer support, fraud detections, financial advice, and claims management, and more.

7. BEST INNOVATION IN PROPTECH
The Judges are looking for the most innovative use of technology to solve the property sector’s biggest issues; to be included in this category, the PropTech business needs to have a value proposition substantially connected to finance / asset register / payments.

The Judges are looking for the most innovative use of technology, UX & UI experience, compelling pricing, to solve the key corporate challenges of accounting, expense management (incl FX), payroll and benefits.

11. Best Sustainability Initiative (includes ESG, GreenTech, Blue Ocean Finance initiatives)
The Judges define Sustainability as a societal goal with three dimensions: environmental, economic and social. Initiatives developed by fintechs can be used to guide financial decisions at the global, national and at the individual consumer level. This category is also seeking FinTechs that are leading consumers towards a net zero emissions economy, and/or helping businesses/Governments transition to a zero-emission economy. This category also include any tech business involved in ‘Green-Tech’ or ‘Blue Ocean Finance’ (meaning initiatives that use the oceans to mitigate, capture or offset carbon emissions) where there is a financial component (eg tradable certificate or payment for carbon credit/capture, or blue ocean bond etc) to the platform/service.

The fintech should demonstrate impressive growth and traction; this could be customer numbers, FUM, partnerships, capital raised, staff numbers or any number of fast starter growth metrics.

16. BEST FINTECH GROWTH STORY
An Award that celebrates a fintech that’s going gangbusters! This category is open to any Australian fintech that can demonstrate they are achieving great things in Australia and/or around the world (metrics could include new market growth, client growth, revenue, downloads etc).

This is the most exciting Award of the night.
